June
気がついたら2022年に入って6ヶ月も経ってしまいました。鳥の繁殖生態の調査を始めてから、日々新しく知ることばかりです。早朝からのフィールド調査は眠気と疲労との闘いですが、朝一番の野鳥の美しい歌声で疲れが癒えます。

あけましておめでとうございます。
今年も、フィールドでたくさんの発見に恵まれますように。
2021
長らく更新が途絶えてしまいました。
10月から11月にかけて、中国地方、秩父、信州（奥蓼科）、紀伊半島を皆で巡りました。

3月、4月、5月、6月と、ほぼ毎月、本州の各地でフィールド調査してきました。雪解けからセミが鳴きはじめるまでのこの4ヶ月間は、息つく暇がありません。場所によって季節の間を行き来しているようで、時間を旅しているという錯覚をおぼえます。
今回、調査地にしかけたロガーやトレイルカメラで、再訪するときまでにどんなデータが取れるのか。

As the semester ended, we went to our study sites we regularly go. We first visited a valley where we set several cameras for monitoring animal behaviors. There were still some remaining snow there, like soft futon. The camera (below) recorded the days it snowed; a weasel’s silhouette was found also. At the second site, which is located only about 20 km away from the first site (basically located on the opposite side of the terrain), it was much warmer. Plagiomnium mosses have borne new buds and shoots which is a sign of spring for us.
最初のサイトには、まだ10cm程度の積雪がありました。年末から山のなかにすっと放置していたトレイルカメラには、雪が降りしきって銀世界になっていく様子が記録されていました。
昨年、通い詰めた調査地で、オオバチョウチンゴケが新しい芽をだしていました。
今年も、多くの虫が現れる時期がやってきました。
